Make your own zine!
Join us for a hands-on zine-making workshop where you'll learn about the rich history of DIY self-publishing, what makes zines unique, and how to make them. You can make a zine on nearly anything, from political activism to fan comics to your favorite music, games, or movies! Given the DIY nature of zines, they're perfect for any skill level!

Bio: Joi is a Memphis based artist and musician by way of Los Angeles. She has always been musically inclined, and taught herself to play the bass, guitar, and keyboard, in addition to singing. During the time she played bass and sang in the Pop-Punk band Crow Baby, she co-founded the group Thick Thigh Collective. Together, they published zines, participated in zine fests, and led workshops. After they mutually decided to end the group, she wrote, directed, and starred in an experimental short film called Beauty Standards. Since then, she has put her creative energy into acrylic painting, embroidery, and ceramics in addition to her current musical project.
