Join us for a 2-hour introduction to spinning your own yarn using a traditional Turkish spindle! This beginner-friendly class will guide you through the fundamentals of hand spinning while creating your first yarn. This class is designed for ages 12+. Each student will receive their own Turkish spindle (Snyder Spindles – Classic Turkish, Cherry Wood, Standard Size) along with approx 2 oz of wool type fiber to spin during the class and continue practicing at home.
During the class you will learn:
• How to draft fiber for consistent yarn
• How to start your yarn on the spindle
• How to add and control twist while spinning
• Basic plying techniques
• How to properly care for and maintain your Turkish Spindle
By the end of the session, you’ll understand the core mechanics of spinning and leave with the skills needed to continue making your own yarn at home!
No prior experience is required — this class is perfect for beginners or anyone curious about traditional fiber crafts.

Workshop will be Non-Refundable with any "No Show/No Call"
ALL cancelations need to be called in to 570-468-2719 or Facebook message before 3 days/72 hour deadline of Workshop scheduled date & time.
Cancelations less than 3 days/72 hours may have the option to be credited as a store credit or refunded, MINUS 10% as credit card and restocking fees are applied.
