About this Event
Make Your Own Jewelry: Coastal Cheney
Once again, join us at the Bullock Texas State History Museum as part of the Free First Sunday Juneteenth event for a fun and creative event where you can unleash your inner artist and design your own coastal-inspired jewelry pieces! Our ScriptHOPE founder will guide you through the process of creating beautiful jewelry that you sourced yourself "from the beach" similar to what happens in finding real Chaney on the beaches of St Croix and coastal towns like Galveston. You'll also be able to script your own messages in a bottle like the lost treasures we often find on beaches. And this year, we've added a fun tech component you'll need to experience for yourself! Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to craft one-of-a-kind coastal Chaney age appropriate for the entire family!
** For the littlest ones, we will have a more "tiny-hands" friendly activity but still just as fun and creative.
