ABOUT:
Inspired by record-breaking aviatrix, Amy Johnson CBE. Children can find out about Amy Johnson's incredible solo flight from Croydon to Darwin and construct their own model of the plane she flew half way across the world!
The session is led by experienced facilitator and Creative Director of FLY: The Amy Johnson Festival of Inspiration. FLY was created to elevate and celebrate Amy's legacy and inspire people with her story. As the first woman to fly solo from England to Australia and the second woman in the world to qualify as a ground engineer, Amy's story begins with defying the odds. In her own words she was an ordinary woman who did extraordinary things.
