Have trouble cooking with cast iron? Many people do! In this class you will learn the gentle art of making iron cookware do its job and do it well under all kinds of conditions. Feel free to bring problem pans and worrisome artifacts. We can either fix the issues in class or develop a plan to bring the item back into useable condition.There will also be some cooking to demonstrate the value of certain techniques as well as the techniques themselves. You will also learn things about the metal that will help you make sense of its often misunderstood behavior! There should be enough time for everyone to try our hands at making some food! You may also learn some things about storage and handling.
