About this Event
MAKE: Yard Art is a two‑day, hands‑on creative workshop designed for anyone who wants to turn raw metal into a custom piece of outdoor art. Your ticket purchase covers both days of this four‑hour experience (two hours each day), giving you full access to every step of the process.
Class will Be held Saturday March 14th and March 21st from 1pm to 3pm.
Day One: March 14th
Choose your design and get an introduction to the CNC plasma cutter. You’ll watch your artwork come to life as it’s cut from steel, then learn how to use the sandblaster and other metal shop tools to clean and prep your piece for finishing.
Day Two: March 21st
Finish prepping your project and dive into the world of powder coating. You’ll learn how to apply a durable, professional‑grade finish that’s built to withstand the elements.
By the end of the class, you’ll head home with your own custom piece of powder‑coated yard art — ready to display proudly or give as a one‑of‑a‑kind gift.
A huge thank‑you to Forever Powder Coating for generously donating powder‑coating supplies to Lacey MakerSpace. Your support helps us empower our community with hands‑on skills and makes it possible for more people to learn the art of powder coating. We’re grateful for your partnership!
