Whether you're a total beginner or looking to refine your wheel-throwing skills, this hands-on workshop is perfect for anyone who loves handmade ceramics and cozy, slurp-worthy meals.
Class Overview:
In this 1-hour class, you’ll learn the basics of wheel throwing with a focus on creating beautifully functional noodle bowls. Our experienced instructors will guide you through each step of the process — from preparing and shaping the clay to forming the perfect bowl size and rim style to complement your favorite ramen, pho, or udon.
By the end of the session, you'll have crafted your own one-of-a-kind bowl.
You'll get to take the pieces home with you after the session. We offer the option of the pieces to be kiln-fired and glazed in your chosen color at additional charge.
What You’ll Learn:
- Introduction to the pottery wheel and essential tools
- How to throw a basic bowl
- Shaping techniques for wider, deeper noodle bowls
- How to trim your bowl and add finishing touches
What’s Included:
- 1/2 lb of clay (enought to make small bowl), tools, and materials
- Instruction from a professional ceramic artist
- Use of studio equipment
Who It’s For:
Perfect for adults and teens (ages 13+) — no prior experience required! Ideal for a unique date night, friends’ outing, or solo creative escape.
What to Bring:
- Clothes you don’t mind getting dirty (aprons provided)
- Short nails and hair tied back recommended
