About this Event
Join us at The Skript Kitchen for an immersive hands on cooking class exploring one of the most iconic and celebrated dishes in Mexican cuisine: mole.
Led by Mexican Chef Alan, this class will guide you through the traditional process of making authentic mole completely from scratch using dried chiles, spices, nuts, seeds and slow cooking techniques that create incredible depth and richness of flavour.
Mole is one of Mexico’s most complex and deeply rooted dishes, known for its balance of spice, sweetness, smokiness and richness. The finished mole will be served with a complementary protein (vegan options available), traditional sides and refreshing homemade horchata.
This class is perfect for guests who love bold flavours, authentic cultural cuisine and learning traditional cooking techniques in a warm and social environment.
What you will learn:
• Selecting, toasting and preparing dried chiles
• Building flavour layers in traditional mole
• Balancing spice, sweetness, bitterness and richness
• Proper cooking and finishing techniques
After cooking, everyone will sit down together to enjoy the meal family style.
GF/Vegan/vegetarian options available upon request.
All ingredients and equipment are included.
