Join us in the Studio to honour African Heritage Month! Create your own felt portraits using bright colours and different shapes, while thinking about memory, legacy, identity, and community. We’ll use decorative stitching and felt scraps to make a textile artwork that shares our family, ourselves, and our stories. We’ll turn our finished portrait into a wall hanging to display at home. Bring a photo of you or your family for inspiration!Work independently, or with your small group, this program is great for children ages 5+ with an adult. Drop-in, included with the price of admission.
