Backyard cooking season is coming. What better way to enjoy this, then making your very own Pizza Paddle. During the class students will learn the fundamentals of milling wood to size using the jointer, plane, and table saw. Students will then be shown how to glue together the pieces to make the paddle. This class will have students clean up pre-glued pieces, then flatten, shape, and profile their pizza paddle before final sanding in preparation for finish. The final paddle dimensions will be roughly 12” x 22” x ½-3/4”. All class participants receive a 15% discount on merchandise purchased in the store on the same day of their class. Exclusions Apply. Students should come properly attired for a woodworking class (tight fitting clothing, long hair restrained and constrained from the face); and bring or wear provided industry standard hearing protection and safety glasses during equipment operation. All woodworking classes are held in a store that sells a wide variety of woods, including exotic woods such as cedar, aromatic cedar and other products (e.g., finishes, cleaners, etc.) that may cause allergic or other reactions in a small number of cases.
