About this Event
Get ready to think small… and create something magical ✨
In this playful, hands-on workshop, you’ll design and build a tiny trinket box with a loose-fitting lid using fine silver precious metal clay. That’s right — you’ll start with soft, moldable clay and end with a solid .999 fine silver treasure box you made yourself!
We’ll explore forming techniques for building small hollow forms, creating properly fitted lids, adding texture, patterns, and whimsical details to make your piece truly one-of-a-kind. Along the way, you’ll learn how precious metal clay transforms in the kiln into real silver, along with tips for sanding, firing, and polishing to achieve a beautiful professional finish.
These petite boxes are perfect for holding the tiniest treasures — a charm, a love note, a crystal, a secret. Sweet, sculptural, and surprisingly satisfying to make, they’re like little silver time capsules.
All tools and materials are provided. Just bring your imagination and a willingness to play with fire (the safe, jewelry-making kind!).

In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to create a tiny trinket box using fine silver precious metal clay. Over the course of the session, attendees will be guided through the entire process, from designing the box to shaping, molding, and detailing the clay. The instructor will cover techniques for achieving fine texture, incorporating small embellishments, and ensuring the box's functionality, such as creating a loose-fitting lid. Once the design is complete, the pieces will be fired in a kiln overnight to transform the clay into solid fine silver, revealing a beautiful, handcrafted treasure. The short class the second day will be to polish and finish the boxes. This workshop is perfect for beginners or anyone wanting to explore the art of metal clay jewelry and small object creation.
Don't miss this opportunity to unleash your creativity and make stunning jewelry pieces to cherish or gift to loved ones. See you there!
