About this Event
Come along and have two hours of fun designing and making your very own story brooch.
You will consider how to tell your story, using words or pictures or a bit of both. You will learn about layout, design, colour, pattern and construction to make your very own piece of wearable art.
Make something for yourself or something as a gift using specially designed precut wooden shapes, paints, fabric scraps, ribbon, buttons and anything you may choose to bring along.
Create a meaningful keepsake in this special workshop, where you’ll design and make your own storytelling medal or rosette using fabric, buttons, beads and decorative materials. You’re welcome to bring along any fabrics, buttons or beads that hold sentimental value, or simply use the materials provided on the day.
By the end of the two-hour session, you’ll leave with one beautifully finished handmade piece to treasure and take home.
Suitable for beginners and all ages, no experience needed.
By attending this workshop, you are supporting the work of Charlie’s House and the local creative community.
Two sessions are available — please book your preferred time or drop in on the day and pay:
• Morning session: 10:30 – 12:30
• Afternoon session: 13:30 – 15:30
