About this Event
It's time to hike in the fall colors with your Recycled Hiking Gnome!
Join Lynn Hjelmen, author of The Recycled Gnome, to learn how to make an appealing Scandinavian gnome from recycled materials. The class project is a 12” figure with a hiking staff. All the materials will be provided.
Once you have taken a class with Lynn, you can use her techniques to create to whole family of gnomes to join the one you made.. Use Lynn’s ideas and sweaters, pillows, sheets, and cardboard, items that you probably already have.
Kits for other gnomes and her book will be available for sale after the class.
Lynn Hjelmen has always had an interest in researching her Scandinavian roots. After 34 years of teaching, she found in retirement the time to create her version of the Scandinavian gnome, the tomte, in recycled sweaters. In January 2022, her instructional book, The Recycled Gnome, was released.
This class fills quickly. Register soon to save your place.
