Majlis-X: Arts, Culture & Creativity
NOTE: This is an exclusive event with limited seats available on a first-come, first-served basis. No charge.
Join us in Minneapolis on October 31, 2025, for a special Majlis-X session of the Misk Global Forum (MGF) hosted by the Saudi Leadership Society (SLS) – US Chapter at Midwest region in collaboration with Art Auction and partners.
Under the theme Arts, Culture, and Creativity, this session will bring together artists, cultural leaders, and young changemakers to explore how creative expression shapes identity, builds bridges across communities, and inspires innovation.
Each Majlis-X is an intimate, youth-led dialogue designed to produce tangible ideas that feed into the MGF Youth Communiqué 2025 — a collective statement of action from global youth leaders.
Our established guest speakers are:
- Virajita Singh: is DEI director who leads efforts to integrate diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion (DEAI) into every facet of the institution’s operations. She is committed to expanding the museum’s engagement with historically underrepresented communities while evolving inclusive hiring practices and building an inclusive internal culture that empowers all staff members to contribute to the mission.
- Mubarak Al-Thani: is a multi-disciplinary artist from Doha, Qatar currently based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. His work focus on aesthetically deconstructing urban landscapes. Mubarak predominantly explores architecture, skylines, infrastructure, transportation, mobility, travel urban culture, cultural exchange and architecture-looking domestic items – which he considers an intrinsic part of city landscapes. The idea is to capture this new form of life humans have adapted to due to economies of scale and convenience.
