🎨 Sandra Gustafson – Artist
With over 25 years of exhibiting locally, Sandra creates ethereal, intuitive works layered with gouache and ink and other mediums. Her organic compositions invite personal interpretation and offer a glimpse into a process that is both thoughtful and free-flowing.

Designer, maker, musician, and now full-time photographer, Mike brings decades of creative exploration into his striking image and video work. His artistic journey has included touring with The Autumn Project, collaborating with the Des Moines Art Center, building custom furniture, and crafting vintage motorcycles shown across the country. His photography reflects that same bold, design-driven perspective.
👕 Leg Up Collective – Vintage & Handmade by Noah Gustafson
A curated collection of vintage apparel (1900s–2000s) and handmade, upcycled bags created from reclaimed materials. Each piece is slow-made, hand screen-printed in small batches, and completely one-of-a-kind—focused on keeping materials in use and stories alive.
Come experience fine art, photography, vintage style, and handmade design all in one space. Meet the artists, shop unique pieces, and celebrate local creativity.

Join us for First Friday on June 5, 2026, from 5-8 pm featuring Nostalgia, an exhibition exploring how the past lives on in the present and shapes the way we see ourselves and the world around us.
Juried by Jeff Rider and Jody Valentine, Nostalgia brings together artists working across a range of mediums who draw from memory to revisit places, people, and moments that feel both distant and familiar.
In addition to the main exhibition, the event will feature The Nostalgist’s Primer, a duo show by Nostalgia jurors Jeff Rider and Jody Valentine, as well as Artful Perry, a special guest showcase celebrating the art, culture, and creativity of historic Perry, Iowa.
Guests can explore hundreds of open art studios, participate in an interactive art activity by local artist Cassi Miller and enjoy live music by the Steamer Trunk Novelty Orchestra.
Food and beverage offerings will be available from BaanVaan Ice Cream, Graze Craze, Lachele's, Lee Tys Delights, Not Your Average Bar, Reyes Tamales, and Tangerine Food Co.
First Friday events at Mainframe Studios are family-friendly, free, and open to the public. Expanded overflow parking and a complimentary shuttle make getting here easy.
