Men from across the Diocese of Portland are invited to attend the annual Maine Catholic Men's Conference, which will be held March 7, 2026, at both the St. John's Community Center in Brunswick and at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Presque Isle.
The conference provides men an opportunity to explore how to enhance their relationship with Christ and walk with others in brotherhood on their spiritual journeys. This year's theme is Jesus Christ: A Model of True Masculinity.
Time and Locations:
The conference will be held March 7, 2026, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the St. John's Community Center, 43 Pleasant Street in Brunswick, and at the Rev. John J. Harris Knights of Columbus Hall, 12 Chapman Road in Presque Isle, with Mass and adoration at nearby Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 333 Main Street in Presque Isle.
Cost and Registration:
The cost is $50, which includes lunch. There is a special $60 family rate for a father and a high school-aged son.
Keynote Speaker:
This year's keynote speaker will be Father Sebastian White, OP, a Dominican friar. Since 2018, Father White has served as editor-in-chief of Magnificat, a monthly liturgical prayer magazine. Father White will be present at the Brunswick location, and his keynote address will be livestreamed to Presque Isle.
Raised in Maine, Fr. Sebastian was baptized Catholic as an infant, but his family soon became involved in a Protestant church. After graduating from college, he returned to Catholicism. Fr. Sebastian then spent four years in Gaming, Austria, studying at the International Theological Institute and then working for Franciscan University’s study abroad program. After becoming close to the Dominican community in Vienna, he entered the Province of St. Joseph in 2008. Fr. Sebastian was ordained in 2014 and then served as chaplain at New York University. From 2019 through 2025, he was editor-in-chief of the monthly prayer magazine Magnificat. In 2022, he was appointed student master at the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, DC, where he lives now.
