Mahjong on Tap: Opening Night at Aslin (Alexandria)

Mahjong on Tap @ Aslin ALX is a hosted social play night brought to you by Mind Your Mahjong, hosted by Michelle Byron—great games, easy conversation, and a fun night out at the brewery.

This is not a formal Mahjong 101 class. Think: hosted social play with a friendly guide in the room to help with table flow, quick questions, and gentle refreshers so everyone has a great time.

Food and drinks are available for purchase from Aslin throughout the evening.

• Experienced players who want a fun, hosted night out
• Confident beginners who know the basics and want more real-play reps
• Coming solo? Totally welcome—I'll help with seating.

• Hosted social play (I’ll be floating to support tables and keep things running smoothly)
• Seating: A 4-player game setup using venue-provided tables (long or square), arranged to keep play comfortable and organized
• All equipment provided (I have plenty of sets!)
• Bonus: We’ll do a couple of raffle drawings during the night—all ticket holders are automatically entered

Please bring your current NMJL card. We’ll be playing American Mahjong using National Mah Jongg League hands.

NMJL cards will be available for purchase on site (limited quantity; first come, first served).

• Location: Aslin Beer Company — Alexandria
• Age: 21+
• Limited seats

• Advance tickets required (no walk-ins)
• Ticket sales close at 3:00 PM on event day so seating can be finalized

Refunds are available up to 7 days before the event start time. After that, tickets are nonrefundable, but you may transfer your ticket to a friend by updating the attendee name/email.

Hosted by Michelle Byron (Mind Your Mahjong) — Mahji Mentor. I’ll be floating throughout the evening to help with table flow, quick questions, and friendly refreshers.

A rotating mix of tile sets and accessories will be provided—often featuring favorites from Oh My Mahjong, My Fair Mahjong, Hip Hip Mahjong, Bird & Bamboo, Charleston Mahjong Club, and more (sets may vary by table).
