About this Event
This will be a class for experienced players who have played Hong Kong styled mahjong. (if you are looking for a 101 class please look here: https://cindyplaysmahjong.eventbrite.com)
You will have Cindy as your guide and she will teach you the steps beyond the basics and into the rhythm of the table with Hong Kong Mahjong 102 class. This session is designed for players who already know the tiles and want to start playing with confidence, speed, and strategy.
You’ll sharpen your understanding of scoring, learn how to read the flow of a game, and pick up practical tactics used in real Hong Kong–style play—when to push, when to fold, and how to spot winning opportunities before your opponents do. Along the way, we’ll break down common hands, table etiquette, and the subtle decision-making that separates casual players from skilled ones.
Expect a lively, hands-on environment with guided rounds, real-game scenarios, and plenty of chances to ask questions. By the end, you won’t just know Mahjong—you’ll start to think like a Mahjong player.
Tickets will be $50 (+fees) and will include 2 hours of fun, a drink and pizza appetizer.
