Learn to Play Mahjong!
Come join us at The Living Room for a casual and relaxed morning learning how to play American Mahjong in our favorite coffeehouse! In this beginner-friendly lesson, you'll learn the fundamentals of American Mahjong. We will walk you through the Charleston, how to read the National Mahjong League Card (NMJL) Card, and the steps to creating a winning hand. Come ready to learn, have fun, and discover why Mahjong will be your new favorite hobby!
No experience or equipment needed. We will provide all game materials for use during the lesson, instruction guides to take home and suggestions for further learning.
Your ticket does not include beverages; a one-drink minimum purchase is requested during the event. A menu can be found here.
Important things to note:
- Arrive up to a half hour prior to the event to get your drink and get settled. We will start promptly at 10am. Please note this venue is not handicap accessible, the CLASS IS UP A FLIGHT OF STAIRS - there is no elevator access.
- All ticket sales are final. Tickets are transferrable to another player, let us know the name of your replacement if you are unable to come.
- Photography may occur during the event for marketing purposes. Please notify the instructor at check-in if you do not wish to be photographed.
