January 4th Magnolia Manor Highwaymen ShowThe main impetus of the event is to get the largest selection of paintings possible that’s why we are encouraging anyone and everyone to bring as many paintings as they like to hang up for sale or trade. Emphasis on original highwaymen, but any Florida Landscape will be accepted.
It’s a beautiful outdoor venue, but has plenty of covered space and even drop-down walls, In the event of bad weather.
Food!!! We are going to be serving from the grill!! lobster, steak, chicken, and some vegetarian options. As well as alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages aplenty.
In order to cover some costs, admission will be $30 a head and $20 per painting however, if you bring any paintings at all your head admission will be waived.
The event will start around 10 o’clock, dealers, and painters or people with a good amount of paintings can arrive as early as 8 AM to set up. We will eat and peruse for a few hours and the auction will probably start around 1 to 2 o’clock.
We will have the lowest combined buyer/seller fees in the game for this auction, 10% buyer fees and 10% seller fees… With an option of 5% seller fees for paintings consigned with no reserve.
Eat, drink, and be merry, hang out with all of your Highwaymen buddies, sell a painting, and buy two paintings!
Please ask questions and share feedback below. Nothing is set in stone, we’re just trying to create an event that makes sense for the most people to come out and see a wide selection and showcase their art.
We will be announcing a list of painters that are showing up in the coming weeks and hope to attract an original highwayman or two as well.
Please let us know if you plan on attending, and if you will bring some artwork? So we can start to get an idea of how big the crowd will be.
Thanks!!
