About this Event
With support from the Wallace Foundation, Cave Canem and Ithaka S+R partnered in 2023, to conduct Magnitude and Bond: A Field Study on Black Literary Arts Service Organizations. Focusing on Black literary arts organizations around the country as spaces that nurture literary talent, generate thriving artist communities, and are cultivators of Black spaces, this project explores their sustainability, the challenges they face, as well as the adaptive strategies used by leadership to secure and maintain their organizations.
