About our Herb Classes:Herbs, used through the centuries for aroma, health, beauty and taste are now at Northern Plains Botanic Garden Society! Come visit our herb garden - and if you want to know more, taste test, and have fun learning about them - come join us for our monthly herb classes! Herb classes are held in the Yunker Farmhouse (1201 28th Ave N, Fargo, ND), next door to our botanic garden. All classes will be educational and hands-on and will include history of herbs, tastings, teas and recipes. Cost is $20 per person and classes are limited to 20 participants.

About this Class:
Magnificent Mints: We grow 6 different and unique mints in the garden, come learn about them and tingle your tastebuds! We have spearmint, peppermint, chocolate mint, lemon mint, mojito mint and pineapple mint. There are a few other mints that we don't currently grow (orange, apple, and ginger mint) and there are a few that we will discuss that are not advised for human consumption.
Mint is a huge family of herbs and we’ll discuss what else falls in this family - you'll probably be surprised! They all have a very distinguishable characteristic.
We will taste the leaves, tea and a few recipes incorporating the different mints. There will be recipes and sprigs of fresh herbs to take home if you like! Feel free to bring your favorite tea cup for tastings. We will have some available to borrow as well.
