When & where
Date: Wednesday March 25th – Thursday March 26th 2026
Time: 8am – 3pm AEST
Venue: Nelly Bay Ferry Terminal, Magnetic Island QLD 4819
Day 1 (Wednesday 25th)
0800: Meet at Nelly Bay Ferry terminal, quick chat, and discuss the day.
0830 – 0930: Nelly Bay Habitat Reserve.
0930 – 1100: Ned Lee Creek.
1100 – 1230: Picnic Bay Mouth.
1230 – 1330: Lunch.
1330 – 1500: Picnic Bay (Upstream).
1500: Debrief, day one complete.
Day 2 (Thursday 26th)
0800: Meet at Arcadia Bay – Peterson Creek Mouth (-19.150972,146.864202), quick chat and discuss the day.
0830 – 0930: Arcadia Bay – Peterson Creek Mouth.
0930 – 1100: Horseshoe Bay (Car-bridge/culvert).
1100 – 1230: Horseshoe Bay Lagoon
1230: Debrief / lunch / day two complete.
What to bring
- Closed-toe shoes.
- Suitable clothing for working outdoors.
- Hat, sunscreen and insect repellent.
- Drink bottle, lunch, and snacks.
