Magic of Salt Watercolors

Discover the magic of salt in this all-level watercolor workshop, where science and creativity meet. By harnessing salt’s natural ability to attract and disperse pigment, students will create beautiful, unexpected textures that mimic frost, sunlight on water, aurora borealis, stone, and sea spray.

Through hands-on exploration, you’ll develop an abstract study and two 8x10 paintings inspired by Alaska’s landscapes and textures—leaving with both new skills and a deeper appreciation for watercolor’s expressive possibilities.
