About this Event
Join for a celebration of the Snow Moon of Imbolc at the Franklin Castle !
During these cold Mid-Winter days, whilst everything seems dark and frozen, this traditional fire festival honors the halfway point between Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox as the days continue to grow lighter each day.
Some witchcraft practitioners honor Brigid, while others mark this sacred time as a happy opportunity to invite blessings of renewal, creativity, and growth, a chance to reflect on your own life and how you want to grow in the coming year.
Remember, growth often begins in darkness and stillness… so, whilst sipping your ritual tea, look outside at the Snow Moon and imagine all that is silently growing beneath...
The spiritual meaning of Imbolc is Transformation and Purification, a fire festival celebrating the return of the light, igniting hope that Winter does not last forever and that Earth is never idle. Even when it appears to be sleeping, its roots are growing strong and full of promises.
Now is a time to honor the potential waiting within you as well. It’s the spark of an idea or a dream waiting to come true. Let your creativity and imagination shape those dreams inspired by the great magnetism of the castle. Take time to pause, reflect, and prepare. Clear out what no longer serves you to make space for dreams to bloom and flourish !
This spiritual and highly heart-warming tea ritual four hour event starts with an explorative tour of the castle conducted by historian William G. Krejci. Once the warm-up part of scouting around is over, comforts of the soul will be tended to by Maeve's Magic putting on a tea ritual as both a cultural and festive experience. Guests will discover Maeve's Magic herbal brews, whimsical bites such as hors d'oeuvres, puddings and other delights from pagan cuisine !
Maeve's Magic is a local, sustainable apothecary and small catering business. Return to the sources of tradition, folk-lore and savoir-faire through recipes that have been lovingly preserved and transmitted since centuries past. Very limited attendance, only 14 guests !
