About this Event
The MADMAN Summit is a transformative initiative rooted in the principles of Hip Hop Healing (HHH), designed to engage Black men in creative expression around mental health, masculinity, and self-identity. This event uses emceeing to dismantle harmful stereotypes of manhood, and fosters resilience, healing, and connection through Hip Hop culture. Featuring panel discussions, skill development sessions, and collaborative expression, this summit takes place November 2025 at the CEE Centre for Young Black Professionals in Scarborough.
In November 2024, we hosted the first MADMAN [DECIIIPHERED] event “Exploring healthy masculinity in a toxic society”. The event was inspired by the song MADMAN featuring Erik Flow. We talked about the idea of “keeping your masculine frame” in the midst of inter-personal and societal pressures. This year the theme is Behind the Mask of Masculinity - aims to curate a BRAVE(R) space for us to talk about the masks we wear to survive and give space to express our authentic selves.
We have expert speakers, dynamic performances and powerful workshops planned.
More details to come.
