The annual Madison Christmas Parade is one of the most beloved Madison holiday traditions. Each year, crowds gather on the route down Main Street to enjoy the parade and tree lighting sponsored by the all-volunteer Madison Christmas Committee.The parade kicks off at 5:30 pm. The tree lighting will occur immediately after the parade ends. The parade lasts approximately 60-75 minutes.

The volunteer Christmas Committee, which relies on public donations, pays for all parade expenses. Seasonal downtown decorations such as wreaths, strands of lights, and bulbs are also entirely paid for by Christmas Committee donations.
