Madeleine Peyroux returns to the stage with WE ARE AMERICA, a deeply personal and powerfully resonant concert experience celebrating the diverse voices that form our collective musical heritage. Marking the 10th anniversary of her acclaimed Secular Hymns and the 30th anniversary of her breakthrough album Dreamland, this tour brings Peyroux back to the roots of what first made her one of the most distinctive and arresting vocalists of her generation: intimacy, storytelling, and an uncanny ability to make every song feel like it was written just for you.

Reuniting with longtime collaborators Barak Mori (bass) and Jon Herington (guitar), the same trio that recorded Secular Hymns in 2016, Peyroux revisits that spirit of raw, close-up artistry—where every note feels human, unguarded, and alive. Their setlist spans a century of American song: Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Bessie Smith, Judy Collins, Allen Toussaint, Bob Dylan, and more, alongside Peyroux’s own soul-baring originals. Each piece is chosen not only for its beauty but for the hope, struggle, humor, and humanity that shape the American story.

In this stripped-down, emotionally generous format, Peyroux’s voice—hushed, elegant, deeply expressive—shines in ways that feel timeless. Her interpretations reveal new corners of familiar songs, uncovering the grit beneath the poetry and the grace within the blues. What emerges is less a concert and more a conversation: between past and present, between artist and audience, between the America we remember and the one we hope to become.

Three decades after Dreamland introduced her to the world, Madeleine Peyroux stands as an artist still unafraid to evolve, reflect, and surprise. WE ARE AMERICA offers a rare chance to witness that journey up close—through songs that remind us who we are, where we’ve been, and the kind of future we might yet imagine together.
