Madeleine Brettingham: Work In Progress
Madeleine Brettingham is a writer and rising star on the stand-up circuit, who’s recently scooped a string of competition wins including winning the prestigious So You Think You’re Funny 2025 and taking silver in Funny Women in the same year, a unique double.
She’s been praised for her “distinctive worldview” (Chortle), “tight and gag-packed” writing (Bruce Dessau), and “knack for blending offbeat observations with pacey, unexpected punchlines” (The List).
“A suffer-no-fools attitude that owns the stage, a formidable gag rate and a precision with language that conjures up the perfect images” (Chortle).
**Important Information**
📢 The room has space for 50 comedy fans, so please book well in advance as we often sell out!
⌚The restaurant opens at midday, and is open until normal closing time after the show.
⏲️ Please arrive by 7.15pm latest, the show normally starts 7.30pm, and likely to finish 8.30pm - all times are approximate and any changes will be communicated on the night.
🍺 There are no break(s) between the acts for you to refresh your drinks and use the facilities.
