Made With Love: Mother’s Day Pottery Class
Bubbles, Bowls and a Toast to Mom

Celebrate Mother’s Day with a meaningful, hands-on experience at the pottery wheel. This special edition of our signature class is designed to bring people together through creativity while making something truly personal.

Whether you’re coming with mom, treating yourself, or planning a thoughtful outing, this class offers a memorable way to connect and create.

What to Expect
Participants will be guided step by step through the fundamentals of wheel throwing. You’ll learn how to center clay, pull walls, and shape your own ceramic piece on the wheel. Our instructors will assist throughout the process to ensure a fun and successful experience, regardless of skill level.

No prior experience is required.

Want More
After your piece is fired, you will have the option to:
Return to paint your piece in a follow-up pottery painting session, or
Transform your piece into a candle in our candle-pouring add-on workshop

Both options are offered at a special discounted rate for workshop participants.

The Aftermath
After your class, your piece will remain in our studio for processing. It will first be left to dry completely until it reaches the bone-dry stage. Once ready, it will go through its first kiln firing (bisque firing).

After the bisque firing, one of our studio technicians will glaze your piece using the color you selected. It will then go through a final glaze firing before being placed on our pickup shelves.

Please allow approximately 2 to 4 weeks for the full process to be completed.

Mercado Art Studio can store finished work for up to two weeks after your first notification. Our staff will send up to two courtesy reminder messages. After two weeks, all unclaimed work will be donated.

Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change. Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule your class.
