Madame Thespia is delighted to announce that she and her longsuffering comrade in arts Gustave LeGrump are returning to Exeter Central Library for a second Deliciously Diverse Open Mic Christmas Cabaret!!
After a brilliantly fun, talent-filled and festive-fabulous night last year, Madame Thespia and Gustave will be hosting another eclectic night of comedy, music, poetry, storytelling and more. Madame Thespia's open mic nights are open to everyone but especially designed to platform the work of creatives from under represented backgrounds, including (but not limited to!) neurodiverse, LGBTQ+, non-binary, global majority, late career and early career artists.
Dressing up is encouraged (general Christmas theme, the weirder the better) - with a prize for the best costume!

ARTISTS! APPLY NOW FOR A PERFORMANCE SLOT
We invite all poets, singers, actors, comedians, film-makers, dancers and artists of any discipline to come and share the stage for an up to 7 min slot. Please reserve a slot in advance by contacting [email protected] or phoning Gustave on 07584 222659.
This project is run with the generous support of Libraries Unlimited, the Pelican Project and Exeter Northcott. It is produced by Four of Swords.
Age Guidance: 14+ (there may be some mild language and adult themes)
This event will take place on the ground floor of Exeter Library, which is accessible throughout, with accessible toilets on the third floor (via lift and stairs.) There will be a bar serving soft drinks and alcohol. This is a relaxed performance, where audiences are able to move, vocalise, tick, stim and react to the show freely. If audience members need a break, they are welcome to leave the performance and come back at a later point. There will be a chill out area in the Quiet Room upstairs. Doors (and access to the Library) at 6.40pm.
Tickets are Pay What You Decide, starting at £4. Carers go free. All proceeds will go back to 4 of Swords and the Libraries Unlimited charity, so please pay what you can!
