An opportunity for children and young people to have a taster of youth voice from the Participation team. We are a multidisciplinary team using youth work values to support young peoples’ voice and influence groups across Devon, including the Devon youth council, and groups for neurodivergent and/or disabled young people. The session will include exploring every child’s right to be heard, have their views taken seriously and ways of influencing change that matters to them. The session will involve a blend of games and discussion. The group will work together to think about different elements of youth voice such as equity and democracy. There might even be a game of democratic dodge ball! Please note, The Participation Team is part of Devon County Council. Young peoples' names will kept for our own purposes only and not passed on to the elective home education team or anyone else (within the normal remit of safeguarding that all the other sessions would also be adhering to).
