Get ready to stitch up a storm and learn the ropes of machine quilting at this cozy workshop!
About this Event

Discover the joy of bringing your quilt tops to life in this beginner-friendly machine quilting workshop! Whether you’re brand new to quilting or looking to build confidence with your sewing machine, this hands-on session will guide you through the essential techniques and tools needed to start quilting successfully.

You’ll learn how to prepare your quilt “sandwich,” choose the right needles, threads, and batting, and set up your machine for smooth, even stitching. We’ll explore straight-line quilting, simple free-motion designs, and strategies for managing bulk so your project stays neat and controlled. Along the way, you’ll practice on sample pieces and receive personalized support to help you develop comfort and consistency.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with foundational machine-quilting skills, helpful tips for troubleshooting common issues, the confidence to take on your own quilting projects at home plus the mini quilt you made in class! Perfect as trivet or placemat. This class is perfect for beginners or anyone wanting a clear, approachable introduction to machine quilting.
