◇ GIULIO ERASMUS & THE END OF THE WORM ◇ (Disques de la Spirale, Meakusma, Mangel)Giulio Erasmus’s music swirls into unintelligible mutterings, songs, and collapsing collages, all made with the idea of keeping things simple. It is post-punk p-funk, pre-post dub. It is a kind of proto-music that delves into post-punk’s past and confronts it with new ideas of abstraction, space, and effectiveness. Between alienating and concrete, making the hiss of plugged instruments a central part of it all, Erasmus uses crude field recordings, voice samples, and descriptive and contemplative lyrics to great effect, reversing musical logic as melody and rhythm confusedly spiral around them.
Giulio Erasmus now plays as a quintet together with The End of The Worm. They released their latest offering "Hard Sell" last june on Disques de la Spirale.

◇ MÉLODIE BLAISON ◇
Mélodie Blaison is a French artist, flutist and composer based in Brussels. Combining her classical training with experimental and electronic production, her work is rooted in a desire to create narrative, immersive and sensory experiences. With a sensual and intimate approach to breath, her music, somewhere between acoustic and synthetic, is a ceremonial interval where time stretches out, giving way to ghostly presences whose only aim is to blur boundaries and make room for emotion.Avant le Rivage, released in 2024 on Wabi-Sabi Tapes, is her second album, following VINTVRI, released on Grande Rousse Disques in 2022.
