Lynne, a musical storyteller with a passion for early 20th-century popular song, will share fresh interpretations of jazz standards from Porter, Gershwin, Rodgers and Hart, Ellington, Mercer and more. Lynne is thrilled to be sharing the stage with some extraordinary cats. William Bennett, on keys, is an accomplished soloist, bandleader, and sideman for various ensembles all over southeast Michigan, stylistically ranging from ragtime to rock to modern pop and jazz. The legendary Brennan Andes (Macpodz, Pherotones, and too many other groups to mention) lays down a groove with his upright bass. The trio will play from 7:45-9:30.
Ann Arbor-based singer-songwriter Milan Seth will open with a short set from 7:30 - 7:45. Milan has been performing for over 25 years. Combining a smooth classic country baritone with a musical sensibility owing as much to Elvis Costello as Merle Haggard, Milan shares honest observations about life, love, and politics.
