📅 Wednesday 20 May 2026
🕣 08:30 – 16:30
We are delighted to invite you to join us at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh for the Lydia X Osteoporosis Symposium — an interactive and inspiring day dedicated to #bonehealth and #osteoporosis.
This unique event brings together people living with #osteoporosis, family members and carers, health and social care professionals, and members of the wider community who want to learn more about maintaining strong #bones and preventing fractures.
🎤 Our Speakers
The symposium will feature members of the Lydia X Osteoporosis Project team alongside invited contributors with lived experience and professional expertise in #bonehealth. Together, they will share current research, practical insights and personal perspectives, creating a balanced and meaningful programme that brings together scientific evidence and real-world understanding.
Led by the Lydia X Osteoporosis Project team, the symposium will:
🔹 Raise awareness of #osteoporosis as a significant public health issue
🔹 Share the latest research in accessible and engaging ways
🔹 Offer practical, evidence-informed advice to support bone health
🔹 Create space for discussion, connection and shared learning
All sessions are inclusive and accessible — no specialist knowledge is required. Whether you attend from a professional or personal perspective, you will leave with practical insights and renewed awareness.
🎟 Free to attend (as part of the Lydia-funded project)
