About this Event
Lighthouse’s Bowling in the Dark is a fun, family-friendly, fundraising event that challenges your bowling expertise with the addition of a blindfold. Each team of 4 is assigned a Vision Loss Expert who is either an LVIB visually impaired staff person or a Lighthouse client. Having a VLE can help each team with navigation, etc., during the blindfolded frames 3, 6 and 9! To make it even more exciting, participants can purchase Gutter Buy-Backs for instant do-overs during the blindfolded frames, giving them a chance to improve their scores while supporting a great cause. In addition to 3 games of bowling, pizza and shoes are provided with each sponsorship and team registration. Participants can also visit our Silent Auction. Once bowling and the Silent Auction have wrapped up, there will be an awards ceremony and dessert.
All proceeds from Bowling in the Dark benefit Lighthouse programs and services for people who are visually impaired and blind. Lighthouse provides no-cost vision rehabilitation to people who are visually impaired and blind of all ages living in Pasco, Hernando, and Citrus Counties. Our programs and services help our clients develop the daily living skills needed so they can live independently and safely.
