LUXURY APARTMENTS (UK)Born in 2021 Luxury Apartments (the band) pried its way into the London music scene where they came through with intent and dished out chaotic and intense live performances all around the capital. Started as a passion project by Matthew Turner (vocals / guitar) with a revolving but never devolving cast of the best players London had to offer pre-covid times, current real deal artists part of the LA canon include Chris Franks and Phil Smith. Like the real estate counterpart, Luxury Apartments began to sprawl all over the country, picking up acclaim from writers and magazines after recording and releasing a handful of killer but hard to find demos just as we rolled up to the plague years. Whilst the world shut down, Luxury Apartments buried themselves away and took the term lock down a bit too seriously by getting it locked down, penning an album which was packed out with 10 conjured, nurtured and crafted tracks.
At the end of 2023 Luxury Apartments began releasing the first few tracks from their forthcoming debut self titled album, which is due for release April 21st 2024 through Manchester based tastemaker record label Eeasy Records. The album was recorded with producer / engineer / musician Euan Hinshelwood (younghusband / cate le bon) and was put together on reel to reel tape in Euans studio in South London not long ago. It has been mastered by Mickey Young (Total Control / Eddy Current / Suppression Ring) and the artwork, made by reclusive artist Lesley Miserables brings together a solid 10 track debut from Luxury Apartments. Luxury Apartments, by Luxury Apartments promises to be one of the best punk albums of 2024.

THE BIRCH (DE)
These youngin’s outta Quedlinburg, Sachsen Anhalt, Dland, play their spin on psychedelia with riffs tighter than their cheekbones, rhythms tauter than their unbeer blotched abs, and deliver basslines deeper than Nietzsche.
The Birch emerged from a school band. Lucas (git, vox) eventually formed an independent group together with two friends from the Quedlinburg music scene. Since then, Volker (dr), Santiago (bass) and he have been a power trio that kicks ass at every performance. They played at several festivals (e.g. GOA23, Campusfestival Mittweida), in a lot of clubs all over Germany and quickly achieved local hero status in their hometown of Quedlinburg.
