March 9th at 6:00pm - 8:00pm and Tuesday, March 10th from 9:00am - 5:00pmFor the first time in many years, Lutherans from across the Upstate New York Synod will gather in Albany to live out our baptismal promise to "strive for justice and peace in all the earth." Our morning will feature learnings on advocacy skills, theological grounding and information on our 2026 legislative priority areas of hunger and housing. After gathering in the NY Capitol for a midday press conference with Bishop Lee Miller, II that will amplify the voices of the poor and dispossessed from across our synod, we will then proceed to meet with our State Assemblymembers and State Senators. All are invited to join us the evening prior for a meal, fellowship and evening prayer commemorating saints Harriet Tubman and Sojourner Truth, two Upstate New York renewers of society. Location and further details will be announced by early December but please mark your calendars!
