Lush Botannica - Creating Fruit Botanical Art with Felt and Thread with artist in residence Aly Parrott

Have you wanted to try out fiber art but not sure where to get started? In this multimedia workshop where students will create a botanical wall hanging piece using wool felt scraps, wool roving, and embroidery thread. Students will learn an exciting multimedia approach to creating fiber art, using needle felting and embroidery techniques. There will be an instructor-led example to follow, but everyone is welcome to put their own spin on the project. By the end of the class students will have a beautiful botanical wall-hanging to take home, as well as lasting knowledge to continue their fiber art explorations. All materials included.
Please note that our classes are typically held in the lower level of Arlene's. Because access to the lower level is available only by stair, please let us know if using the stairs presents any difficulty for you in advance of the class so we can make alternate arrangements. We want to make sure everyone is able to enjoy and participate in our classes.
