Lunchtime Recital: Miro Treharne (Mezzo Soprano) with pianist Curtis Vetter Mezzo-soprano Miro Treharne accompanied by pianist Curtis Vetter.
British mezzo-soprano Miro Treharne is a graduate from Trinity Laban Conservatoire (first-class honours) and is currently studying at The Royal Academy of Music on the Master of Arts course under Catherine Wyn-Rogers and Joseph Middleton. She is financially supported by the Countess of
Munster Trust as the ‘Dame Janet Baker Scholar’ (2025-2026) and is also a Drake Calleja Scholar, generously supported by the Drake Calleja Trust.
She has had a variety of professional engagements including performing as the Alto Soloist for ‘Mozart Requiem’ alongside Ailish Tynan, Nick Pritchard and James Platt and has won numerous Song prizes such as The English Song Duo Competition (adjudicated by William Vann), Elisabeth Schumann Lieder Competition 2024 (adjudicated by Rebecca Cohen) and The Lillian Ashe French Song Competition 2025.
In 2024, she was selected as a SongEasle Young Artist and was subsequently awarded the Sir William Boreman’s Scholarship. With an immense passion for operatic performance, she has performed roles such as Second Woman(Dido’s Ghost) Penelope (Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria) with Trinity Laban Opera and Tolomeo(Giulio Cesare) with Saluzzo Opera Academy, supported by the Elizabeth Luxton Memorial Scholarship.
Curtis Vetter is a British-German collaborative pianist and répétiteur based in London. Specialising in vocal accompaniment and chamber music, Curtis is an acclaimed recitalist who performs across the UK. He is currently undertaking postgraduate studies at the Royal Academy of Music with James Baillieu and Joseph Middleton, where he is awarded the Sir Curtis Price Scholarship. His studies are generously supported by the Countess of Munster Musical Trust. Curtis was the Sam Hutchings Pianist Prize awardee at the Oxenfoord Internation Summer School, working with Malcolm Martineau. Curtis holds aFirst-Class Honours degree in Music from the University of Birmingham
