Dr. María Pérez is an Associate Professor of Geography at WVU, though she is a cultural anthropologist by training. Her research focuses primarily on issues of cultural identity and placemaking in the context of speleology- the science of caves and cave exploration. She will be discussing Rodriguez’ work through the lens of her expertise as well as conversations she had with the artist himself!Lunchtime Looks are short presentations and discussions led by speakers with a variety of interdisciplinary backgrounds, who offer unique perspectives on the Art Museum's exhibitions and collections.
