About this Event
is delighted to present a free lunchtime concert performed by AlmaMEA Trio, featuring Elena Giusto (oboe), Anna Giusto (flute) and Matteo Colavitto (bass clarinet).
AlmaMEA Trio is an ensemble composed of three musicians from the Venetian area, united by their shared passion for music. They began their studies at the “Santa Cecilia” Institute in Portogruaro (VE), though their professional paths later diverged into fields such as architecture, biotechnology, and computer science. Despite their diverse careers, their love for music has remained constant, leading them to recently undertake advanced studies in chamber music and historically informed performance under the guidance of Maestro Stefano Bet.
In April 2024, the trio participated in the “DoreLab Festival Ensemble” masterclass in Palmanova with Maestro Paolo Pollastri, where they were awarded a scholarship. They perform actively in concert, collaborating with various ensembles and orchestras including the Benchus Chamber Orchestra (Italy), Fidelio Orchestra (London), London City Orchestra (London), Orchestra del Veneto Orientale (Conegliano), Orchestra Filarmonica del Veneto, Associazione Culturale Mousikè, and Accademia Naonis (Pordenone).
Although they have each pursued individual concert careers and have performed together in different musical formations in the past, they decided to establish themselves as a trio, making their debut in November 2023 at the 1901 Arts Club in London with a programme featuring works by Telemann and Quantz. In January 2024, they were awarded First Prize at the IMC International Music Challenge.
