About the Book: Best Boy
A gripping psychological thriller, Best Boy teeters on the knife-edge of memory and identity when the arrival of a shocking letter threatens the carefully constructed life of a woman desperate to outrun her past.
Viveca Stevenson appears to have it all—a successful husband, a ten-year-old son, a beautiful coastal home in Greenwich, Connecticut, and the glow of a former film career. But when a threatening letter arrives from a man she doesn’t remember, her carefully curated life begins to unravel.
The letter forces Viveca to confront a shattering Halloween night from her high school years—when she had a different name, a different face, and a different voice. Who is the man reaching out now? Was he really the best boy on her most famous film, Misty? And why can’t she remember him—or that night at all?
Taut, suspenseful, and psychologically rich, Best Boy explores identity, memory, and what happens when the past refuses to stay buried.
