About this Event
Join us for a lunch-and-learn with Sam Ellyson of Christopher Newport University's Reiff Center for Human Rights and Conflict Resolution, as we explore the story of the pink triangle — a Nazi-era badge used to mark LGBTQ concentration camp prisoners that was later reclaimed by activists as a global symbol of pride and liberation. Sam will share the work of the Pink Triangle Legacies Project, which honors those lives lost by documenting their stories and creating educational resources for communities worldwide. Come ready to engage, learn, and remember.
