About the Session:
Andrew Maza is a U.S. Air Force veteran, full-stack software engineer, and founder of GriffinTek Solutions LLC, a veteran-owned consultancy dedicated to helping small businesses thrive through modern web technology. After nearly eight years leading complex operations and multimillion-dollar projects in the Air Force, Andrew transitioned into tech, graduating from Hack Reactor’s immersive software engineering program. Passionate about helping other veterans make similar transitions, Andrew also founded the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of VetsInTech, where he leads efforts to connect veterans with opportunities in employment, education, and entrepreneurship—while building a strong, supportive local tech community.
In this session, Andrew will cover his personal story of transitioning from military service to software engineering, with insights on overcoming challenges, navigating a career shift, and the power of community through VetsInTech.
