Lumpy Grits Artistry is gearing back up for their 2023-2024 season. In 2018, LGA
produced an Afro-Greek version of Lysistrata and took the show on the road. In 2020,
LGA produced an Afro-Greek version of Elektra that was filmed due to Covid-19. The film premiered in June 2021. Lumpy Grits Artistry on February 25, 2023 at Central Art Station Engine for the LGA presents Children’s Theatre Short Scenes. The youth troupe will perform a trio of scenes such as the Cinderella Story, Anansi: Lord of Stories and Anansi Spy Tales: Tell Me A Tale of Resistance.

School Girls, or; the African Mean Girls Play by Jocelyn Bioh is a funny, biting commentary on beauty pageants, as seen through the eyes of young Ghanaian hopefuls. School Girls is essentially a comedy, but at the same time, it addresses the serious issues of colorism, classism, and bullying.
