About this Event
Imagine stepping into a world where vibrant light sculptures, projection, and music merge to energize your senses. This experience will transport you to a place where art and technology unite in the most spectacular way.
Why Lumonics is Special
The Legacy: Founded by the late light artists Dorothy and Mel Tanner, Lumonics is among the first and longest-running light art projects in the US. They were doing "immersive" long before it became a buzzword.
The Atmosphere: Unlike massive, crowded spaces, the Lumonics Light & Sound Gallery is an intimate setting. Reviewers often describe it as stepping into a "spaceship" or a "national treasure."
The Performance: Each performance is original and orchestrated live so every visit has its own unique vibe.
Doors Open: 7:45 pm
Show Starts: 8:15 pm
Vibe: Relaxing and mind-opening
Complimentary refreshments are included

Hear From Attendees:
“This place is such a hidden gem in Denver. The art here has a deep and fascinating history, and the Tanners built a true legacy around it. You can see how spaces like Meow Wolf and other immersive art experiences owe some of their inspiration to what Lumonics has been doing for decades.” - Tyler A.
"Lumonics is such an incredible collection. They are part of the Crown Jewels of Denver." - Justin Stucey, Walt Disney Imagineering
“This is a unique experience not to be missed, truly the highlight of our trip to Denver.” - Bridget B.
"Art should change us in all the best ways. It should open our minds, hearts and souls, and enliven our own creative instincts. My first time at this ongoing event did all that and more.” - Will B.

Thanks to Lauren Antonoff Hart for including Lumonics in her CPR broadcast and in Denverite:
“Denver is a hub for immersive experiences. Long before ‘immersive art was trendy, Denver also had artists like Lonnie Hanzon, the creator of ‘Camp Christmas,’ and the late Dorothy and Mel Tanner, creators of Lumonics Light & Sound Gallery, who paved the way for experimental exhibitions.”
"We present the most up-to-date form of the Lumonics experience that originated in 1969. Our intention is to expand the boundaries of sensory engagement and artistic expression, and honor Dorothy and Mel Tanner’s contribution to light art and the immersive experience."
