Hailing from Green Bay, Wisconsin, Luma Knotty is continuously evolving, while still honoring their diverse musical roots. Founded in 2017 by guitarist Ryan Patrick with the idea to fuse his musical upbringing in blues & funk rock with his training from McNally Smith College of Music and his years of experience in roots reggae. While writing original music & lyrics to tell stories of love, loss, & awakening, Ryan wanted to create a modern approach to reggae, setting the vibe using vibrant stage designs. Luma Knotty was awarded the 2019 & 2024 WAMI (Wisconsin Area Music Industry) Award in the World category. Their first EP ‘Sounds of Earth’ was released in February 2020 and their full-length album 'Bring the Light' was released on January 30, 2023. New music is on the horizon for the band, with a new album to be released summer 2024. All of Luma Knotty's music is available on your favorite streaming platform.
