Free and open to everyone, “Pepito & The Trash Cans” is a musical story about a little boy in Bolivia who longs to play music, but scarcity and misfortune stand in the way of his dream. In the end, he and his siblings figure out how to make instruments with bottles, cans, and other repurposed materials.
Vandergriff is a multi-instrumentalist, storyteller, and visual artist who builds instruments from bottles, cans, and repurposed materials. Blending live looping, spoken word, and global rhythms, his performances inspire wonder, resilience, and creativity. With stories drawn from traveling the world and 15 years in Bolivia, Vandergriff brings a one-of-a-kind experience to festivals, theaters, and music venues - where passion, play, and purpose take center stage.
Families and children of all ages are invited to attend this free performance, but seating is limited and will be available on a first come basis.
